About Change Volume

How Change Volume works

Change Volume makes audio louder or quieter by the percentage you choose, from 10% to 400%. When you make it louder, a limiter keeps the loudest moments from going over the maximum, so they don't crackle or distort.

Even out instead brings any recording to a standard loudness (−16 LUFS, close to what streaming services use) with the EBU R128 loudness filter, so quiet speech becomes easy to hear and loud recordings come down. For videos, only the sound is changed: the picture is copied as it is.
