About Video to MP3
Pull the sound out of an MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM or other video and save it as MP3, M4A or WAV at 128, 192 or 320 kbps. The video is processed in your browser, so it is never uploaded.
How Video to MP3 works
Video to MP3 takes the first sound track of your video and saves it as an audio file. MP3 and M4A are compressed at the quality you choose; WAV keeps the sound uncompressed, which is best for editing but takes about 10 MB per minute.
The work is done by FFmpeg, the open-source media engine, running in your browser. The first time you use one of the video and audio tools your browser downloads the engine (about 10 MB); your video itself is read straight from your device and never uploaded.
