About Voice Changer

How Voice Changer works

Voice Changer applies a voice effect to an audio file or to the sound of a video. The pitch effects — Deep (5 semitones lower), High (4 higher), Chipmunk (9 higher), Monster (9 lower with a short echo) and Alien (5 higher with a wobble) — change the pitch while keeping the length, so the voice stays in time with the video.

Robot gives a flat, metallic tone, Echo adds the reflections of a big hall, and Telephone keeps only the 300–3,400 Hz band of an old phone line. With Custom you choose the pitch yourself, from one octave down to one octave up. Preview plays 8 seconds with the chosen voice before you process the whole file; everything runs in your browser.

Voices explained

Deep / High
Lower or higher by a few semitones — like a male or female voice.
Chipmunk / Monster
Much higher or much lower for comic and scary effects.
Robot / Alien
A metallic machine voice, or a high voice with a wobble.
Echo / Telephone
A big hall, or an old phone line.
Custom
Any pitch from −12 to +12 semitones; 12 semitones is one octave.
