About QR Code Generator

Create a QR code for a website, a UPI payment, your Wi-Fi network, a WhatsApp chat, a phone number, an email, an SMS or a contact card. Pick colours, square, rounded or dot style, add your logo in the middle, and download a PNG, JPG or a sharp SVG for printing. Every code is test-scanned before you download it.

How QR Code Generator works

QR Code Generator turns what you enter into the standard text each kind of QR code uses — a link, a UPI payment address (upi://pay), a Wi-Fi login (WIFI:), a WhatsApp chat link (wa.me), a phone number, an email, an SMS or a contact card (vCard) — and encodes it as a QR code in your browser. Nothing is stored on a server, so the code never expires and nobody tracks the scans.

You see a live preview as you type. When you add a logo, the code switches to the highest error-correction level (H), which lets phones read it even with the middle covered. Before the download, the finished code is scanned by a QR reader; if it can't be read — for example because the colours are too light — you are warned before you print it.

When to use QR Code Generator

  • Put a UPI QR on your shop counter so customers can pay with any UPI app.
  • Let guests join your Wi-Fi without typing the password.
  • Print a QR to your website, menu, Google review page or WhatsApp on flyers and visiting cards.
  • Share your contact details at events with a scannable contact card.

How to use QR Code Generator

  1. Choose what it opens. Link, Text, UPI payment, WhatsApp, Wi-Fi, Phone call, Email, SMS or Contact card — then fill in the details.
  2. Design it. Pick the colours and the style, and add your logo if you like. The preview updates as you go.
  3. Download. Choose PNG, JPG or SVG and the size, then click Download QR code. Scan it with your phone to check.

Design tips

Dark on light
Scanners need a dark code on a light background with enough contrast. Light codes on dark backgrounds are blocked because many phones can't read them.
Logo
Use a simple logo; it covers about a fifth of the code's width. If the check warns you, try a smaller logo or the Square style.
SVG for printing
SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size — ideal for banners, standees and stickers.
Size
For print, keep the code at least 2 × 2 cm; for posters seen from a distance, about one tenth of the reading distance.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The information is stored in the code itself, not on our server, so the code works for as long as the link, UPI ID or details inside it are valid. There is no scan limit and no tracking.

Can I make a QR code for UPI payments?

Yes. Choose UPI payment, enter your UPI ID and, if you like, your name and a fixed amount. Any UPI app such as Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm can scan it to pay you.

Is the QR code free for business use?

Yes. There is no watermark, no sign-up and no limit, and you can print and use the codes commercially.

Can I change the link after printing?

No. The link is inside the code itself. To change it later, point the code at a page you control and change that page instead.

Does the UPI QR work with all apps?

It uses the standard UPI payment link, which Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and bank apps understand. Test it with a small payment before printing.

Is QR Code Generator free?

Yes. QR Code Generator on DocEpic is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how often you use it. The site is supported by ads.

Is what I type private?

Yes. QR Code Generator runs entirely in your web browser, so what you type is never sent to us or stored anywhere.

Do I need to install any software?

No. QR Code Generator works in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iPhone.
