About Compress PDF to 100 KB

Get a scanned certificate, marksheet or form under 100 KB for strict upload limits. Normal compression is tried first; if the PDF is still too big, its pages are redrawn as pictures at the best quality that fits — black and white makes documents half the size again.

How Compress PDF to 100 KB works

Compress PDF to KB works in two stages. First the PDF is compressed on our server with Ghostscript at the Recommended level and, if needed, the Extreme level — the same engine as Compress PDF, which keeps text and drawings sharp and selectable. The file is deleted from the server as soon as the result is sent back.

If the file is still above your limit, the pages are redrawn in your browser as JPEG pictures, and the tool searches for the resolution and quality that fill the limit as closely as possible without going over. Black and white makes text documents about half the size at the same sharpness. Each page keeps its original paper size.

When to use Compress PDF to 100 KB

  • Upload certificates and marksheets to exam and admission portals with a 100 KB or 200 KB limit.
  • Attach documents to job applications that allow 500 KB or 1 MB.
  • Send scanned forms by email or WhatsApp within size limits.
  • Fit identity and address proofs into government portal limits.

How to use Compress PDF to 100 KB

  2. Choose the size. Pick 100 KB, 200 KB, 300 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB or 2 MB, or type your own. Tick black and white for text documents.
  3. Compress and download. Click Compress. The result says how small it got and whether the text stayed selectable.

Options explained

Size
The file is always made smaller than the size you choose, counted as 1 KB = 1,000 bytes, so it passes either way of counting.
Black and white if needed
Used only in the picture stage. Best for printed documents and certificates; leave it off for colour photos and coloured stamps.
Many pages
Each page needs some of the space. For very small limits, split the PDF and upload only the pages that are required.

Frequently asked questions

Can a multi-page PDF fit in 100 KB?

One or two scanned pages usually fit with readable text. Longer documents may become too blurry; split the PDF and upload the pages the portal needs, or choose a larger size if it is allowed.

Why did my PDF lose its selectable text?

Normal compression wasn't enough to reach your size, so the pages were turned into pictures. Choose a larger size if the portal allows, to keep the text.

Is my PDF stored?

No. The server copy is deleted right after compression, and the picture stage runs in your browser.

Is Compress PDF to 100 KB free?

Yes. Compress PDF to 100 KB on DocEpic is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how often you use it. The site is supported by ads.

Are my files safe with Compress PDF to 100 KB?

Yes. Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, converted in a private temporary folder on our server and deleted as soon as the result is sent back. We don't keep copies and don't look at your documents.

Do I need to install any software?

No. Compress PDF to 100 KB works in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iPhone.

Is there a file size limit?

Files up to 100 MB each can be processed.
